How does a condensing boiler work?

In contrast to traditional boilers, condensing boilers make use of the heat contained in the vapour generated by combustion.

While in conventional boilers this is lost together with exhaust fumes, in condensing boilers it is captured in such a way as to make combustion fumes cool and condense in water, freeing the heat in the phase transition which is recovered from the boiler’s exchanger and increases the latter’s energy efficiency.
